Pequeno passatempo:
Na minha cidade não havia nenhum Templo ou devotos. Eu estava num parque sentado e a ler o Néctar da Devoção. Uma cigana sentou-se ao meu lado e disse que queria ler minha mão. Eu disse que não era preciso. Mas ela insistiu de uma forma afoita e persistente.
Então eu disse para ela dar uma olhada no Néctar da Devoção. Ela ficou bem calma e a olhar para as imagens de Radha Krsna por um bom tempo. Depois agradeceu e disse que tinha gostado muito das imagens mas não sabia ler, era analfabeta. Devolveu o livro e foi embora.
Pelo menos ela contemplou por um bom tempo as belíssimas formas de Sri Sri Radha Krsna.

Foi por ler o Néctar da Devoção que houve um forte impulso para eu aceitar a Consciência de Krsna.
Eu era Cristão, mas não estava nada satisfeito com a ideia vaga de como é o mundo espiritual e a imagem de Deus no Cristianismo.
No Cristianismo a imagem de Deus é um velhinho com barba branca. Mas isto é só uma caracterização. Ninguém sabe como Ele é.
De facto, muitos Teólogos Cristãos eram e são contra mostrar alguma imagem de Deus (Imago Dei). É um mistério ao qual ninguém tem acesso.

Durante cerca de mil anos, em obediência às interpretações destas passagens bíblicas específicas, as representações pictóricas de Deus no Cristianismo ocidental foram evitadas pelos artistas Cristãos.
No início, apenas a Mão de Deus, muitas vezes emergindo de uma nuvem, era retratada.
Gradualmente, foram retratados a cabeça e mais tarde toda a figura, e na época da Renascença as representações artísticas de Deus Pai eram usadas livremente na Igreja Ocidental.
Só a partir do Renascença que a imagem de Deus começou a ser feita mas com a desaprovação de muitos Teólogos.

Como representar Imago Dei? Para alguns é até um sacrilégio tentar fazê-lo.
Uma vez, fazendo Sankirtana, encontrei uma moça cristã que estava curiosa sobre a Índia.
Conversando sobre Deus eu disse que Deus era um jovem muito belo, tão belo que até tinha traços femininos.
Ela ficou impressionada e disse que isto não era possível. Não é possível saber como é Deus, disse ela.
Então eu disse pois, mas as escrituras Védicas da Índia descrevem Deus desta forma. Ela então ficou com uma Bhagavad Gita para conhecer melhor.

Ora, o Néctar da Devoção e toda a literatura devocional Vaisnava Gaudiya é exatamente o contrário.
Há toda uma descrição pormenorizada e detalhada de como é Deus. Suas características corpóreas, Suas actividades, Seus relacionamentos. A ciência da Rasa.
E mais, o Vaisnavismo Gaudiya mostra que durante a prática do processo devemos cultivar uma relação com Deus ou como servo, ou como pai e mãe, ou como amigo, ou como amante.
O Néctar da Devoção explica que devemos nos purificar (Vaidhi) e então aceitar um destes relacionamentos (Raganuga).
O Néctar da Devoção explica que Sadhana Bhakti é dividida em Vaidhi e Raganuga. Depois vem Bhava e Prema.
Foi isto que me fez aceitar a Consciência de Krsna a quase 50 anos atrás. Esta é a parte mais bonita da Consciência de Krsna.
O serviço devocional interno que podemos fazer a Krsna num relacionamento (Rasa) específico. É um tesouro que não existe em nenhuma outra religião !!!
Então agora quando alguém diz que não, não é preciso cultivar nenhum relacionamento. Simplesmente canta Hare Krsna.
Chegam ao absurdo de afirmar que Raganuga Sadhana Bhakti é só um detalhe que não precisa ser seguido.
Então eu afirmo, se é assim eu tinha continuado a ser Cristão onde você simplesmente reza e canta mas sem uma concepção de como se relacionar com Ele.
Ou então afirmam que eles têm uma concepção de Deus como Krsna, e desejam ir para Vrndavana, e que só isto já é Raganuga Bhakti sem precisar especificar uma relação (Rasa) durante o Sadhana. Com muita boa vontade poderíamos considerar isto como um comecinho de Raganuga Bhakti.
No entanto os Acaryas explicam que Raganuga Bhakti significa especificar um relacionamento (Rasa) durante a fase de Sadhana Bhakti, e não simplesmente uma idéia vaga sobre querer ir para Vrndavana, ou uma idéia vaga sobre qual relacionamento que desejamos ter para servir.
O relacionamento (Rasa) que você cultiva durante o Sadhana é o que você alcança na fase perfeita. Assim é que os Acaryas, de forma unânime, explicam.
Não minhas senhoras e meus senhores !!!
Todos os Acaryas Vaisnavas Gaudiya, Sri Rupa, Sri Jiva, Sri Raghunatha, Sri Krsna Dasa Kaviraja, Sri Narottama, Sri Visvanatha, Srila Bhaktivinoda, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta, Srila Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada, todos são unânimes em que durante a fase de Sadhana, o praticante deverá cultivar um relacionamento específico e servir internamente.
Às vezes os Acaryas diferem em algum ponto devido a diferentes situações. Mas aqui neste ponto são todos unânimes.
E portanto não vamos voltar a ser Cristãos com um ideia genérica e indefinida de Deus.
Não, nós, Vaisnavas Gaudiya, vamos abraçar o tesouro trazido por Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. O cantar do Maha Mantra Hare Krsna e o processo de Raganuga Bhakti seguindo um associado de Vraja.
O Senhor Caitanya é considerado a encarnação mais misericordiosa exactamente por isso.
Porque Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu trouxe o Maha Mantra e o processo de Raga Marga.
Foi por isso que eu aderi a Consciência de Krsna.

Small pastime:
In my city there were no Temples or devotees. I was sitting in a park and reading Nectar of Devotion. A gypsy sat next to me and said she wanted to read my palm. I said it wasn't necessary. But she insisted in a bold and persistent way.
So I told her to take a look at the Nectar of Devotion. She remained very calm and looked at the images of Radha Krsna for a long time. Afterwards, she thanked me and said that she really liked the images but she didn't know how to read, she was illiterate. She returned the book and left.
At least she contemplated for a long time the beautiful forms of Sri Sri Radha Krsna.

It was by reading the Nectar of Devotion that there was a strong impulse for me to accept Krsna Consciousness.
I was a Christian, but I was not at all satisfied with the vague idea of what the spiritual world and the image of God are like in Christianity.
In Christianity, the image of God is an old man with a white beard. But this is just a characterization. Nobody knows what He is like.
In fact, many Christian Theologians were and are against showing any image of God (Imago Dei). It's a mystery that no one has access to.

For about a thousand years, in obedience to interpretations of these specific biblical passages, pictorial representations of God in Western Christianity were avoided by Christian artists.
At first, only the Hand of God, often emerging from a cloud, was depicted.
Gradually, the head and later the entire figure were depicted, and by the time of the Renaissance artistic representations of God the Father were used freely in the Western Church.
It was only after the Renaissance that the image of God began to be made, but with the disapproval of many theologians.

How to represent Imago Dei? For some it is even sacrilege to try to do so.
Once, while doing Sankirtana, I met a Christian girl who was curious about India.
Talking about God, I said that God was a very beautiful young man, so beautiful that he even had feminine features.
She was impressed and said this was not possible. It is not possible to know what God is like, she said.
So I said, but the Vedic scriptures of India describe God in this way. She then got a Bhagavad Gita to learn more.

Now, the Nectar of Devotion and all Gaudiya Vaisnava devotional literature is exactly the opposite.
There is a whole detailed and detailed description of what God is like. His bodily characteristics, His activities, His relationships. The science of Rasa.
And more, Gaudiya Vaisnavism shows that during the practice of the process we must cultivate a relationship with God either as a servant, or as a father and mother, or as a friend, or as a lover.

The internal devotional service that we can do to Krsna in a specific relationship (Rasa). It is a treasure that does not exist in any other religion !!!
So now when someone says no, there is no need to cultivate any relationship. Simply chant Hare Krsna.
They go so far as to say that Raganuga Sadhana Bhakti is just a detail that does not need to be followed.
So I say, if this is so, I would have continued to be a Christian where you simply pray and sing but without a conception of how to relate to Him.
Or they claim that they have a conception of God as Krsna, and wish to go to Vrndavana, and that this alone is Raganuga Bhakti without needing to specify a relationship (Rasa) during Sadhana. With much good will we could consider this as a very beginning of Raganuga Bhakti.
However the Acaryas explain that Raganuga Bhakti means specifying a relationship (Rasa) during the Sadhana Bhakti phase, and not simply a vague idea about wanting to go to Vrndavana, or a vague idea about which relationship we wish to have to serve.
The relationship (Rasa) you cultivate during Sadhana is what you achieve in the perfect phase. This is how the Acaryas, unanimously, explain it.
No ladies and gentlemen !!!
All the Acarya Gaudiya Vaisnavas, Sri Rupa, Sri Jiva, Sri Raghunatha, Sri Krsna Dasa Kaviraja, Sri Narottama, Sri Visvanatha, Srila Bhaktivinoda, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta, Srila Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada, all are unanimous that during the Sadhana phase, the practitioner should cultivate a specific relationship and serve internally.
Sometimes the Acaryas differ at some point due to different situations. But here on this point everyone is unanimous.
And therefore let's not go back to being Christians with a generic and indefinite idea of God.
No, we, Gaudiya Vaisnavas, will embrace the treasure brought by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. The chanting of the Hare Krsna Maha Mantra and the process of Raganuga Bhakti following an associate of Vraja.
Lord Caitanya is considered the most merciful incarnation for this very reason.
Because Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu brought the Maha Mantra and the process of Raga Marga.
That's why I joined Krsna Consciousness.
