(Jaiva Dharma)

Tika de Sri Jiva Gosvami do Bhakti Rasamrita Sindhu (1.2.292):

tat-tad-bhavadi-madhurye sri-bhagavatadisu siddha-nirdesa-sastresu srute sravana-dvara yat kimcid anubhute sati yac chastram vidhi-vakyam napeksate | yuktim ca, kintu pravartata evety arthah | tad eva lobhotpatter laksanam iti

"Sphurti in early stages."

1 - Who is fit for Raganuga Sadhana Bhakti?

"The basic prerequisite for the practice of Raganuga Bhakti is simply a genuine desire (Lobha) by a devotion similar to one of the eternal residents of Vraja."
(BRS 1.2.291)
"In Raganuga Sadhana Bhakti, the devotee should consider the specific form of Krsna which he feels more attraction, and the specific eternal associate whose feelings he wishes, listening the pastimes with care. By doing these two things, the devotee always will live in Vraja. "
(BRS 1.2.294)

2 - At what stage awakens Lobha?

At any stage, especially in Bhajana Kriya (which is when the devotee hears the Guru and Sadhus about the glories of the name, form, qualities, associates and their services and pastimes of the Lord as described in Srimad Bhagavatam)

3 - "Vrajanatha: What are the symptoms of such Lobha?
Babaji: When one hears about the intensely sweet Bhavas of the Vraja-vasis, one’s intelligence (Buddhi-apeksa) begins to consider how one may enter into those dealings. That desire (Apeksa) is the symptom that Lobha has awakened.
All that is needed is the greed for the sentiments of the Vraja-vasis: “What are the sweet Bhavas of the Vraja-vasis towards Krsna? Is it possible for me to obtain such Bhavas? How can this be obtained?” This intense yearning is the symptom of greed, and one who does not have it does not have the Adhikara for Raganuga-bhakti. This you should understand." (Jaiva Dharma)

Sri Jiva Gosvami's Tika Bhakti Rasamrita Sindhu (1.2.292):
tat-tad-bhavadi-madhurye sri-bhagavatadisu siddha-nirdesa-sastresu srute sravana-dvara yat kimcid anubhute sati yac chastram vidhi-vakyam napeksate | yuktim ca, kintu pravartata evety arthah | tad eva lobhotpatter laksanam iti

"When one has got even a slight feeling for the sweet moods of Krsna and His devotees through hearing their descriptions in texts describing the ultimate spiritual goal, such as the Srimad Bhagavatam, [the Raganuga Sadhaka] no longer waits for the injunctions of scripture or for logical reasons to do so, but simply takes up [the Raganuga devotional path]. This is the characteristic of Lobha."

Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura explains in his Raga Vartma Vandrika 1.5 how Lobha (greed) is manifested:
"If, after hearing the sweetness of the feelings of the members of Sri Krsna in Vraja Lila, led by amorous passion, you think: "That I can also achieve such feelings."
This is Lobha. And Lobha is the starting point of Raganuga Sadhana Bhakti.

4 - What is the relationship between Lobha and the injunction of the Sastras?

"When Lobha appears, it should not be dependent on Sastric injunction and reasoning. If it is, then it is incompletely established (Asiddhi).” (Raga-vartma-candrika 1.5)
When a devotee awakens this sacred Lobha (at any stage but especially in Bhajana Kriya), that is genuine Lobha. Not just theoretical Lobha. It is not by injunction of the Sastras or imposition of logic, that is, because the Sastras warn that Lobha is the starting point to begin the path of Raganuga, and we have to do for this obligation of the Sastras. No !!!

One might mistakenly argue thus:
== If you have no experience of how the Manjaris are serving Sri Sri Radha-Krsna, how can you say that you really have greed for it? If you say, “I have read about it in Sastra” then that means that your greed is still not independent from Sastra and reasoning. ==

But this argument is wrong !!!

It is wrong to say that Lobha awakening by reading and hearing the pastimes is simply theoretical. It's genuine Lobha. It would be theoretical and based on Sastras and reason if the aspirant would do it as an obligation and enforcement (because everyone is doing, I also have to do), and not by a need and strong desire for a specific relationship (Rasa).

Genuine Lobha occurs when a devotee reads Sastra and hear the Guru and Sadhus. When it is said that Lobha is dependent on the Sastra and reason, it means that a devotee tries to awaken Lobha by obligation or imposition of Sastra and not because aroused a strong and genuine interest.

Not that genuine Lobha can only manifest when the Sadhaka have a "Sphurti" of Parikaras in Ruci. No. Genuine Lobha may occur at any stage since there is a need and strong desire for a specific relationship (Rasa).

In Bhajana Kriya and Anartha Nivrtti, by hearing the pastimes (as described in Srimad Bhagavatam) directly from the Guru and Sadhus, such genuine Lobha awakens as a need and desire for a specific relationship (Rasa) in the same proportion in which there is purification.
And because of this need and urgent desire that constitute the emergence of authentic Lobha, the specification of Ekadas Bhava is necessary, or the11 Bhavas of the Siddha Deha.

In the wake of this Lobha, the devotee in Guru's company (Diksa or Siksa) "builds and become familiar with the components of his Ekadas Bhava. And aims to serve in Lila. Only crave. Smarana at this stage is only to "build" the compoentes of the Siddha Deha. This stage is simply Smarana of these components.

As the Sadhaka progress, genuine Lobha intensifies and the remembrance of Siddha Deha becomes Dharana in Nistha, Dhyana in Ruci, Anusmrti in Asakti and Samadhi in Bhava and Prema.

Note that although Mantramayi Upasana or Yoga Pitha Seva actually occurs in Asakti (when meditation is Anusmrti) in previous stages the Sadhaka can and should become familiar with the scenario of Lila together with his/her Siddha Deha and according to his/her meditation capacity (Smarana in Bhajana Kriya, Dharana in Nistha and Dhyana in Ruci).

5 - For Krama of Nama, Rupa, Guna, Parikara, Seva and Lila.

Sphurti of Nama and Rupa in Nistha.
Sphurti of Guna, Parikara and Seva in Ruci.
Sphurti of Lila (Mantramayi) in Asakti.
Sphurti of Lila (Svarasiki) in Bhava.

It should be noted that when it is said that in the early stages, you must have a Sphurti of the previous to follow the next, Sphurti here simply indicates the manifestation of a need.

For example, here Sphurti of Rupa in Nistha does not mean that the form of Krsna appears to the devotee in Nistha. But simply that there is a need to unite Nama with Rupa and so on.
