Viveka é a distinção e discriminação entre o que é real e o que não é real, verdadeiro e falso, realidade e ilusão.
Devemos cultivar Viveka ou a discriminação entre o eu real e o corpo material. Entre o ego verdadeiro e o ego falso. Viveka é constantemente apontar para a mente que não somos o corpo e sim almas espirituais.
No entanto Viveka efectiva e real é discriminar entre o corpo e a identidade eterna numa Rasa especifica como definido no Sadhana Raganuga.
O Sadhana Raganuga proporciona a aniquilação final do ego falso, porque mais do que simplesmente considerar que é uma alma espiritual, o Sadhaka considera que é uma alma espiritual com um relacionamento (Rasa) particular e própria.

The Sadhana Raganuga provides the ultimate annihilation of the false ego, because more than simply consider to be a spirit soul, the Sadhaka considers that he/she is a spirit soul with a particular and private relationship (Rasa).
