Brahmā Gāyatrī is a worship of the Sun.
But for Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇavas, it is a worship of Rādhā.
And so the Rādhā Śāktas recite Brahmā Gāyatrī with the following concept:
The energy source of this material world comes from Rādhā Kṛṣṇa. All the energy (Sun) that illuminates the three worlds is simply a transformation of the energy of Rādhā.
"Durgā (the Mother of material nature) is an expansion of Rādhārāṇī." (Śrīla Prabhupāda - Letter/1968)
In the Garuḍa Purāṇa it is said:
artho ’yaṁ brahma-sūtrāṇāṁ bhāratārtha-vinirṇayaḥ gāyatrī-bhāṣya-rūpo ’sau vedārtha-paribṛṁhitaḥ
grantho ’ṣṭādaśa-sāhasraḥ śrīmad-bhāgavatābhidhaḥ
"Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is the authorized explanation of the Brahma-sūtra, and it is a further explanation of the Mahābhārata. It is the explanation of the Brahmā Gāyatrī Mantra and the essence of all Vedic knowledge. This Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, containing eighteen thousand verses, is known as the explanation of all Vedic literature."
Jīva Gosvāmī in Tattva Sandarbha explains that Brahmā Gāyatrī is directed towards Kṛṣṇa and His Śakti Rādhā.
While other Sampradāyas regard Brahmā Gāyatrī as worshiping the Sun, Gauḍīyas have the view that Brahmā Gāyatrī and Śrīmad Bhāgavatam are one.
And Śrīmad Bhāgavatam establishes Rādhā Kṛṣṇa as Supreme.
